Description:
The 'Luvo' is an affectionately named weapon advertised as H&K's answer for an updated platform for the venerable 10mm round. Combining the round's performance statistics with the company's dedication for precision crafted barrels and an ergonomic rubber-mold grip, a well practiced shooter can place accurate shots with tight groupings up to 70 meters with its performance dropping off past that point.

The 'Luvo' comes with two 10mm variants: plastic-tip, and armor piercing and flechette rounds. When using armor piercing, the Luvo-10 has enough penetration to counter Tier III body armor and as such sale of the variant is not legal to civilians. Even Bloodhound agents rarely receive more than 2 magazines with their weekly ammunition allowance. It produces the most recoil and can easily injure the shooter if the weapon is held improperly.

Flechette rounds are only issued to Megacorp enforcers and Bloodhound operators for crowd control purposes. Its main purpose is not to kill but rather maim, as the flechette dart is specifically designed to shoot out spikes from the main length of its body once it is embedded in its target for maximum pain and psychological damage. Even if the victim manages to escape law enforcement, due to the nature of the wound makes it difficult to extract the dart: most will die, bleeding out on the surgery table as the ripper-doc tries to stitch the wound back. It has enough driving force that when close enough, it can pin a person's limbs to a wall, where the spikes prevent the target from pulling the flechette dart out.

The plastic-tip is an old favourite for poorly armoured targets, with a maximum penetration value of Tier II body armors. However it has the best stopping power against targets, as the round is designed to remain in the body of the victim. It has manageable recoil and when paired with the Luvo's recoil-compensating system makes it nearly non-existent. Unknown to the public, Bloodhound-issued plastic tip rounds use a specific irradiated metal compound in the production of the plastic tip, which is automatically picked up with the hunter's 'Kariudo' aug. The compound has high radioactivity and a relatively long half-life cycle (14 days), releasing traces of specific chemical compounds which can be easily traced allowing a hunter to easily track his targets. Even after the bullet is removed, the radioactive element will have mixed with the victim's blood.

All Luvo-10s come with a flip up low-tech holographic sight, which can be replaced with trijicon night iron sights. The pistol also comes stock with a dataport, allowing users with a datajack to connect their user interface for a live, visual representation of the pistol's aiming reticule for easier aiming. The weapon is unable to mount any barrel attachments due to a lack of a rail mounting system. Against contemporary pistols it has slightly worse rate of firepower due to its recoil compensation system, which 'locks' the firing system for a brief, but noticeable half a second.

Luvo-10's policy therefore in a firefight is to shoot one very accurate, and very powerful shot. Anymore and you're wasting shots.

It comes with a stock 8 magazine cap, plus 1 in the chamber. A hi-cap magazine upgrade is available, increasing the magazine size to 12+1, which is not available to civilians.
